— Services for Jennie S. Bolt, 95, Overbrook, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church here with the Rev. Willard Braker officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Topeka with Eastern Star graveside services conducted by Topeka Chapter No. 462.

Mrs. Bolt died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 1992, at Brookside Manor Nursing Home in Overbrook.

She was born Feb. 21, 1896, in the Hinerville community near Wamego, the daughter of William Carl and Katie Koenig Mathies. She grew up near Alma and attended rural Wabaunsee County schools.

Mrs. Bolt started nurses training at Glenn Hospital in Wamego and later transferred to St. Francis School of Nursing in Topeka. She graduated as a registered nurse in 1922.

She worked as a county health nurse for a short time, serving at Fitzsimmons Army Hospital in Aurora, Colo. She moved back to Topeka in 1930, where she worked at several Topeka hospitals. She retired from the Veterans Administration Hospital in Topeka in 1960. She moved to Overbrook in 1963.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Overbrook, the Overbrook Flower Club, St. Francis Hospital Alumni and Topeka chapter No. 462 of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She married Albert Grady "Jack" Bolt on June 6, 1927, in Denver, Colo. He died May 21, 1963.

She is survived by a daughter, Joyce M. Forth, Overbrook; a sister, Esther Atkinson, Alma; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a great-great grandchild.

Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at Greenwood-Roberts Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Friends also may call from 9 a.m. until the service hour Saturday at the church.

The family suggests memorials to the Big Hearts for Little Hearts of Stormont-Vale Hospital in care of Greenwood-Roberts Funeral Home in Overbrook.
