Tonganoxie — Services for Edna I. Verhage, 81, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Tonganoxie Christian Church with the Rev. Ben Saathoff officiating. Burial will be in Hubbel Hill Cemetery, Tonganoxie.
Mrs. Verhage died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 1991, at her home.
She was born April 5, 1910, in Rossville. She was a homemaker and a member of Tonganoxie Christian Church.
She married Richard Verhage on July 1, 1927, in Topeka. He survives of the home.
Survivors include six daughters, Betty Earls, Lawrence, Joan Vance, Edwardsville, Ill., Donna Throop, Parker, Colo., Janice Myracle, Leavenworth, and Shirley Schultz and Norma VanDyke, both of Tonganoxie; a brother, Lester Baird, Neosho, Mo.; two sisters, Jean Mee, of Oklahoma, and Billye Boslic, Rossville; 21 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Douglas County Visiting Nurses or to Tonganoxie Christian Church in care of Quisenberry Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Quisenberry Chapel in Tonganoxie.
