Oskaloosa Services for Gene S. Gunselman, 67, Oskaloosa, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Oskaloosa United Methodist Church with the Rev. Wayne S. Feuerbacher officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery at Oskaloosa.
Mr. Gunselman died Sunday, Dec. 6, 1992, in the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Kansas City, Mo.
He was born Nov. 15, 1925, in Wakefield, to Lawrence and Evelyn Seal Gunselman.
He attended Blue Rapids High School and graduated from Oskaloosa High School. He also attended Kansas State University.
Mr. Gunselman served with the U.S. Marines during World War II. He moved to Oskaloosa in 1944.
He was a member of the Oskaloosa United Methodist Church and Larner-Segraves Post No. 36 of the American Legion.
A building contractor, he also worked for the Rhodes Feed Mill in Oskaloosa. He also had served on the Oskaloosa City Council.
Mr. Gunselman married Betty Douglas on Feb. 8, 1948, in Oskaloosa. She survives of the home.
Survivors include two sons, Glen, of Topeka, and Terry, of Lawrence; a daughter, Susan Appleman, El Dorado; his mother, Evelyn Gunselman, Oskaloosa; two sisters, Shirley Kapitan, Blue Rapids, and Jocelyn Poet, Longmont, Colo.; a brother, Lowell, Keizer, Ore.; four grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren, and a stepgreat-grandchild.
The family suggests memorials to the Oskaloosa United Methodist Church.
