Services for Andrew Ray Workman, 20, Kansas City, Mo., will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Eddy-Birchard Funeral Home in Osawatomie. Burial will be in the Osawatomie Cemetery.
Mr. Workman died Saturday, Dec. 5, 1992, in a traffic accident north of Paola.
He was born June 12, 1972, in Hudson, Wis., to Craig and Kayleen Platz Flanders. They made their home in Forest Park, Ill., until Kay and her sons moved to Osawatomie in 1978. Andrew was adopted by John Edward Workman in 1983.
He attended Osawatomie schools and graduated from high school in 1990. He enjoyed acting and participating in school plays. He was named actor of the year in 1990. He also placed first several times in state forensics competitions.
After high school, Mr. Workman attended Kansas City (Kan.) Community College. He was an actor in the Renaissance Festival for the past two years. He was employed by Allied Security and worked at the UPS Terminal in Lenexa.
Survivors include his parents; a brother, Craig Workman, Osawatomie; two half-brothers, Jeff and Jim Workman, Independence, Mo.; a half-sister, Jan Embree, Independence, Mo.; his paternal grandmother, Agnes Workman, Paola; his maternal grandparents, Ralph and Pearl Platz, Osawatomie; and his fiancee, Tiffany Atkins, Shawnee.
The family suggests memorials to the Osawatomie High School Scholarship Fund for Theatre Majors.
Friends may call from 1:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where the family will meet with friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
