If you're a new mother at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, a hospital patient or just a visitor who needs assistance, you're likely to meet Geneva Hunter.

Mrs. Hunter, who is one of about 265 auxiliary volunteers at LMH, has established a reputation among her peers and fellow workers as being one of most active and dedicated people involved in the organization.

Her work includes taking orders for baby pictures, spending time at the admissions and information desk and the delivery of patient mail.

Mrs. Hunter's reliability and hard work over the last 15 years as a volunteer has earned her the title as the "quiet hero" by Allyson Leland, director of the hospital's volunteer services.
