A 38-year-old Lawrence man has been arrested on a federal warrant containing drug-related offenses, authorities reported this morning.
Michael L. Lipp, 808 Elm, was booked into Douglas County Jail at 9:50 p.m. Wednesday and was released at 11:57 p.m. to the custody of Kansas Bureau of Investigation agents.
According to jail records, the warrant contains charges of intent to distribute marijuana and use of a firearm during a drug trafficking crime.
Lawrence police Sgt. Mark Warren this morning had no information about the arrest or the charges.
A KBI spokesman referred questions to the U.S. attorney's office.
Brent Anderson, assistant U.S. attorney in Wichita, this morning said he could not discuss the case.
