Services for Alva Jacob Flory, 76, rural Baldwin, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Willow Springs Old German Baptist meeting house. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Pleasant Grove.
Mr. Flory died Sunday, Aug. 2, 1992, at his home.
He was born Nov. 3, 1915, in Pratt County near Sawyer. He moved to Willow Springs in 1924.
Mr. Flory was involved in farming and dairy in Douglas County. He was a member of Willow Springs Old German Baptist Church.
He married Ethel E. "Goldie" Carpenter on Nov. 4, 1942, in Worden. She died May 19, 1985. He married Shirley Garratt Flory on Aug. 17, 1989, in Baldwin. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, A. Allen and Carl, both of rural Baldwin; a stepson, Murray Flory, Lawrence; a stepdaughter, Joyce Hawkins, rural Baldwin; two brothers, William and Clarence, both of rural Baldwin; a sister, Della Hale-Shoemaker, rural Baldwin; four grandchildren; and six stepgrandchildren.
Friends may call until 9 p.m. today at Rumsey Funeral Home.
The family suggests memorials to the Douglas County Visiting Nurses Assn. or to the church of the donor's choice.
