A Mass of Christian burial for Lora Pearl Schubert Hughey, 64, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Burial will be in Centropolis Cemetery. A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the Rumsey Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hughey died Friday, April 17, 1992, at Lawrence Memorial Hosiptal.

She was born Nov. 19, 1927, at Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of Ordway Isaac and Cecilia Marie Drimmel Leihy.

Her family moved in 1930 to Bonner Springs, where she attended school and graduated in 1945 from Bonner Springs High School. She moved to Linwood in 1950, to Baldwin in 1960 and to Lawrence in 1984.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Corpus Christi Catholic Church and Douglas County Geneaological Society.

She married Carl Hughey on Aug. 7, 1948, at Bonner Springs. He died Aug. 16, 1984.

Survivors include a son, Harold A. Hughey, Wichita; a daughter, Clarice A. Breedlove, Baldwin; and a foster daughter, Darleen DeGeorge, Lodi, Calif.; and five grandchildren.

Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at Rumsey Funeral Home.

The family suggests memorials to Douglas County Visiting Nurses Assn., in care of the funeral home.
