Graveside inurnment services for Paul C. Jones, 89, Lawrence, will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Hutchinson.
Mr. Jones died today, April 16, 1992, at Sterling Heights Nursing Home.
He was born Sept. 12, 1902, in Camargo, Okla. He graduated from Pratt High School in 1922 and attended Southwestern College in Winfield.
Mr. Jones worked at an oil refinery in Pampa, Tex., for 15 years. He later moved to Nickerson, where he owned and operated a bulk oil and gas station. He retired in 1967 and moved to Lawrence. He managed the Spanish Crest Apartments in Lawrence for several years.
He married Jean Thelma Ward on Sept. 16, 1931, in Liberal. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include a son, Edward Paul Jones, El Dorado, Ark.; a daughter, Retta Harnar, Lawrence; a sister, R. Ruth Meyer, Marion; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial services in Lawrence will be announced later.
The family suggests memorials to the Williams Athletic Fund at Kansas University, which may be sent in care of Rumsey Funeral Home, which is handling local arrangements.
