Two people were given notices to appear in Municipal Court on charges of criminal trespassing at the site of the old Theta Chi fraternity near Ninth Street and Emery Road.
Lawrence police received a call at about 8 p.m. Wednesday that two people were at the site of the building, which is being demolished. When officers arrived, they found a 20-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man who had set up a tripod to take pictures of the sunset. Both were issued notices to appear and told to leave the property.
During the day, police were contacted about two youths who were playing at the demolition site. Officers told them they were trespassing on private property and that they had to leave.
A 19-year-old Topeka man was seriously injured at the site Monday night, but Lawrence police Lt. Ed Brunt said officers are not actively surveying the area.
The Topeka man, Renaldo Reyes, who had been exploring the site with his friends, was injured after falling two stories from the structure. He was taken to Kansas University Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan., and was listed in serious condition this morning.
