The chamber board meets at least monthly with the chamber's officers and members of the professional staff to set policy and to help carry out the various projects of the local organization.

Presently, a nominating committee relying heavily on input from the general membership, makes up as diversified a slate of candidates as possible and submits the list of candidates to the board of directors.

During the nominating process, suggestions from candidates are sought from members of the chamber. Then the committee formulates the final slate to be presented to the board for consideration.
