— Lecompton voters have elected three city council incumbents to additional two-year terms, according to the unofficial results of Tuesday's election.

Douglas County Clerk Patty Jaimes said Dorothy Shaner, the only candidate listed on the ballot, received 75 votes. Write-in candidates Jeff Goodrick and Roy Paslay received 74 and 58 votes respectively.

Shaner has served several terms on the council since 1977. Goodrick has served since 1990. Paslay was Lecompton's mayor in the late 1980s, and was appointed to the council again when Leo Pollard resigned last June.

Visitors to the polls also cast 37 write-in votes for Ed Smith and 27 for Cheryl Roberts, Jaimes said.

Turnout in Lecompton was 130 of 241 registered voters, she said.
