The Douglas County Courthouse will have to wait a few more days before work begins on replacing its roof.
Vincent Roofing, the Topeka company that successfully bid on the job, is in the process of finishing two other projects in the area, reported Bill Bell, county building and grounds director. Once the company can merge the two crews, he said, work at the courthouse will begin.
Bell said the other two projects should be completed late this week or early next week.
The county is having to replace the courthouse roof because of hail and wind damage incurred in March.
