Overbrook — Inurnment services for Virginia Ruth Coursen, 73, Overbrook, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Overbrook Cemetery with the Rev. Willard Braker officiating.
Mrs. Coursen died Monday, Oct. 28, 1991, at Hilltop Nursing Home in Lyndon.
She was born July 5, 1918, in Carbondale, to Clyde Jasper and Mae Hannah Anderson Cordts. She attended schools in Overbrook, and graduated from Overbrook High School in 1939. She later attended Emporia State Teachers College.
Mrs. Coursen was a homemaker. She was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church in Overbrook and a member of the United Methodist Women group at the church.
She married Robert Clark Coursen on Sept. 7, 1940, in Carbondale. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include a daughter, Cheryl A. Martinosky, Wichita; a son, Larry L. Coursen, Overbrook; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the Parkinson's Foundation, which may be sent in care of Greenwood-Roberts Funeral Home in Overbrook, which is handling arrangements.
