Mass of Christian Burial for Joseph "Joe" William Krische, 77, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with the Revs. Otto Krische, Vince Krische and Frank Krische officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Mr. Krische died Monday, Nov. 25, 1991, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
He was born Jan. 10, 1914, in Kansas City, Kan., to Frank and Theresa Moritz Krische.
He lived in Lawrence since 1961. He worked in the Kansas University maintenance department from 1972 until he retired in 1980. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Krische was a member of St. John Catholic Church and Disabled American Veterans Jayhawk Chapter No. 22, both of Lawrence.
He married Sylvia Myers in February 1946. She died in 1961. He married Mary Barnes on June 8, 1974. She survives at the home.
Other survivors include two daughters, Ramona Henderson, Edwards, Mo., and Helen K. Dee, Lawrence; a stepson, Jerry Barnes, Lawrence; five brothers, Otto, Los Cerrillos, N.M., Edward, Topeka, Victor, San Marcos, Calif., Robert of Lawrence, and Bernard, Carlsbad, Calif.; four sisters, Marie Meier, Topeka, Eleanor Kriepe, Milwaukee, Ore., Helen Allendorf, Midwest City, Okla., and Dorothy Evans, San Diego; five grandchildren; and four stepgrandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Douglas County Visiting Nurses Assn. in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
The parish rosary will be 7:30 p.m. Friday at the mortuary, where friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday.
