Topeka Services for Sam A. Grimes, 71, Topeka, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Parker-Price Mortuary here with the Revs. Philip E. Hollis and Victor Foster officiating. Burial will be in Rochester Cemetery.
Mr. Grimes died after suffering a stroke Saturday, Nov. 16, 1991, at Stormont-Vail Regional Medical Center, Topeka.
He was born Sept. 13, 1920, in Eudora, the son of Jack V. and Lena Beuerman Grimes. He had lived in Topeka since 1941.
He was a heavy equipment operator who was working for the state of Kansas when he retired in 1971.
He was a member of Faith Assembly of God Church.
Mr. Grimes married Ida M. Sieg on Jan. 11, 1941, at Topeka. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include a daughter, Betty M. Boaz, Topeka; a son, William E. Grimes, Moscow, Kan.; a sister, Dora Kasson, DeSoto; a brother, Wesley Grimes, Lawrence; and seven grandchildren.
Friends may call after 1 p.m. Monday at the Parker-Price Mortuary, where the family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday.
