— Services for Cecilia Marie Schubert, 86, Bonner Springs, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bonner Springs with the Rev. Charles Brink officiating. Burial will be in Bonner Springs Cemetery.

Mrs. Schubert died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 1991, at a Kansas City, Kan., hospital.

She was born March 24, 1905, in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of Arnold and Ida Smith Drimmel. She moved to Bonner Springs in 1930.

Mrs. Schubert was a volunteer for the American Red Cross at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Leavenworth until 1990. She had been a Red Cross volunteer since World War I.

She was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary and of the Wyandotte County Historical Society. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary and of the Kansas Farm Bureau. She also was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and its altar society.

She was married to Clarence Schubert. He died in 1970.

Survivors include a daughter, Lora Pearl Hughey, Lawrence; a sister, Wylia Munkres, Rockville, Md.; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to the Sacred Heart Church or to charity.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church, where a rosary will be said at 7 p.m.

Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs is handling arrangements.
