Police reports

A cassette player, compact disc player, amplifier, two speakers and 15 compact discs were taken from a Mazda pickup truck parked in the 1500 block of West Ninth between midnight Thursday and 6:40 a.m. Friday, Lawrence police reported. A suspect broke a window on the driver's side to gain access. Property damage was estimated at $150.

A 1985 Chevrolet Bronco was taken between 2:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. Saturday from the 1000 block of Jana, police reported. Value of the vehicle is $8,918.

A 16-year-old Lawrence girl reported she was raped at 9:45 p.m. Thursday in the 600 block of Eldridge Street. The girl reported the rape Friday morning, according to a police report. Other information about the report was unavailable Saturday night.

Two Baldwin men, ages 18 and 20, were arrested Saturday morning in Baldwin by Baldwin police on charges of burglary, theft, criminal damage to property and possession of stolen property. The 18-year-old man also was arrested on charges of possession of an open container of alcohol and being a minor in possession of alcohol. The two were being held in the Douglas County Jail without bond Saturday night. Details about the arrest were unavailable Saturday night.

Injury accidents

Robert F. Senecal, 20, Lawrence, was treated and released at Lawrence Memorial Hospital for facial cuts he received in an accident at 12:55 a.m. Friday at Eighth and Massachusetts. Senecal was driving north on Massachusetts, when he struck a parked 1988 Chevrolet, crossed the road left of center and struck a parked 1987 Honda, police reported. He left the scene, but was stopped by Lawrence Police officers in the 1100 block of Rhode Island, police reported. He arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, leaving the scene of an accident, reckless driving and for having no proof of insurance, police reported. Senecal was released from the Douglas County Jail on Friday after posting $1,100 bond.
