To the Editor:
As all of our state officials in Topeka continue to dodge the property tax issue, it becomes more apparent that they have a short memory. Have they already forgotten Mike Hayden and what happened to him for ignoring this same issue? They must remember that they too will have to face the voters again come next election, and although they may have short memories, we will not forget.
The weight of this property tax burden on small business has already started to take its toll. We feel that if all we are doing is working to pay taxes, we might just as well close and join the unemployed.
It's time to quit skirting the tax relief issue and do something positive.
