Funeral services for Mary Alice Blevins, 100, Eudora, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Oak Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Cheryl Somers-Ingersol officiating.
Mrs. Blevins died Thursday at Eudora Nursing Center.
She was born Nov. 6, 1890, in Bentonville, Ark. She grew up in Bentonville and Willow Springs, Mo. She was a homemaker and lived in Lawrence from 1908 until 1950, when she moved to Denver to care for her daughter, Edith. Mrs. Blevins returned to Lawrence in 1970 and moved to Eudora in 1975.
She married Clarence Albert Blevins in 1913 in Lawrence. He died March 10, 1966.
Survivors include two sons, George A., Eudora, and Jack, Meriden; a daughter, Dorothy Dean Singer, Denver; 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Rumsey Funeral Home in Lawrence and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the Eudora Funeral Chapel, where the family will meet with friends at 1 p.m. and proceed to the cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Assn. or the Kansas University Endowment Association for biomedical research, in care of the funeral home.
