Perry The Perry-Lecompton school board Monday approved its 1991-92 budget, which will raise the district's mill levy by about 4.31 mills, said Ruth Leslie, district clerk.
The budget allocates $4,208,167 for the general fund and $448,424 for the capital outlay fund. It will bring the district's total mill levy to about 71.97 mills.
A mill is $1 in taxation for every $1,000 in assessed property valuation.
In other business, the board:
Chose Dan Rockhill to serve as board president and Patrick Mulvihill to be vice president.
Approved the final phase of repairs on the high school track. Athco, of Lenexa, will apply a rubberized surface to the track. The total project cost is $36,075.
Voted to continue discussing the feasibility of building an addition to Perry Middle School to provide four extra classrooms.
