Mass of the Resurrection for Leona J. Green, 92, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Corpus Christi Catholic Church with the Rev. Frank Horvat officiating. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
Mrs. Green died Monday at home after a long illness. She was born Dec. 10, 1898, in Guthrie Center, Iowa.
A homemaker, Mrs. Green had been a resident of Lawrence since 1924. She moved to Lawrence from Frankfort, Kan.
She was married to Basil A. Green on Jan. 3, 1917, in Broken Bow, Neb. He preceded her in death in 1967.
Mrs. Green was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, and she longed to the St. John's Altar Society.
Survivors include three sons, Cecil Green, Patrick Green and Robert Green, all of Lawrence; two daughters, Sister Margaret Dolores Green, Leavenworth, and Phyllis Cross, Bartlesville, Okla.; 24 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Wake services will be 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
The family suggests memorials to St. John's Catholic Church or Corpus Christi Catholic Church in care of the mortuary.
