Pivot Dolan, 25, 4901 W. 30th, Friday was sentenced to six months in jail, but then was granted a two-year probation term on an amended misdemeanor count of criminal trespassing. Dolan originally was charged Oct. 31 with a felony count of auto burglary, two felony counts of theft and a misdemeanor count of theft. He allegedly entered a van belonging to a local man Oct. 27 and took a guitar. Dolan pleaded guilty Jan. 7 to the amended charge.
Steven M. Wilson, 21, Edgerton, Friday pleaded guilty to an amended felony count of robbery. Sentencing was scheduled for March 6 for Wilson, who originally was charged with a felony count of aggravated robbery. Wilson is accused of robbing the Zarco gas station, located about five miles south of Lawrence on U.S. Highway 59, on Sept. 26.
Gary Elliott, 22, Topeka, Friday was sentenced to one to three years imprisonment, but then was assigned to Douglas County Community Corrections for five years on two felony counts of auto burglary. Elliott pleaded guilty Jan. 10 to the charges, which were among 15 counts of theft, auto burglary and criminal damage to property originally filed against him. Elliott was accused of committing five local auto burglaries.
