A 44-year-old Topeka man was arrested early Sunday after he allegedly exposed himself to passersby while standing on an overpass of the Kansas Turnpike.
The man, who was dressed in women's clothing, was booked into the Douglas County Jail at 8:30 a.m. Sunday on three counts of lewd and lascivious behavior.
A Kansas Turnpike Authority dispatcher referred all questions about the matter to Douglas County Dist. Atty. Jim Flory, who said state officers made the arrest, and the incident occurred on a local overpass.
Flory said he was still reviewing the case and had not seen all reports about the incident. He would not comment further.
But authorities indicated that the man was exposing his pelvis to truck drivers on the turnpike. Jail records indicate the man also is known by a female name.
