Eudora Fire investigators still haven't determined the cause of a blaze that caused extensive damage at the Eudora Lumber Co. early Saturday morning.
Kenny Massey, Eudora's acting police chief, today said firefighters are continuing their investigation of the blaze, which started about 3 a.m. Saturday.
"The investigators that were there (this weekend) hadn't determined anything yet," Massey said this morning.
Massey said Eudora firefighters have been at the seen since Saturday to make sure the fire doesn't start up again.
The fire destroyed the lumber company's main office building and also a former railroad depot that had been used by the lumber company for storage. The depot was built in 1871.
Massey said insurance investigators are expected to arrive Tuesday to make damage estimates for the lumber company, which is owned by John Harris.
