KANSAS CITY, KAN. — Services for Bara Horvat, 95, Kansas City, Kan., will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Christ the King Catholic Church in Kansas City, Kan. Her son, the Rev. Frank Horvat, will officiate. Also in attendance will be the Most Rev. Ignatius J. Strecker. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Kansas City, Kan.
Mrs. Horvat died Monday at Providence Place Nursing Home in Kansas City, Kan.
She was born in Yugoslavia and lived in Kansas City, Kan., for 77 years. She was a homemaker and member of Christ the King Catholic Church.
Mrs. Horvat's husband, Matt, died Sept. 13, 1958.
Survivors include four sons, Michael, Kansas City, Kan.; John, Bonner Springs; Matthew, Springfield, Ill.; and the Rev. Frank, Lawrence; five daughters, Helen Horvat and Emily Sercer, both of Kansas City, Kan., Rose Waller, St. Paul, Minn., Anne Theno, Topeka, and Barbara Carroll, Gravois Mills, Mo.; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
The family suggests memorials to Christ the King Catholic School in Kansas City, Kan., or to Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Lawrence.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Skardski Funeral Home in Kansas City, Kan. A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
