Graveside services for Rose May Hurrelbrink, 82, Lawrence, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lawrence, with the Rev. Jim Taylor officiating.
Mrs. Hurrelbrink died Monday at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 8, 1908, in Oregon and moved to Lawrence from Thayer in 1943.
Mrs. Hurrelbrink worked for five years at a local nursing home and for 20 years as a licensed practical nurse at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. She retired in 1975.
Mrs. Hurrelbrink was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lawrence.
She married Milton S. Hurrelbrink on March 14, 1925, in Gainsburough, Ore. He died Nov. 7, 1979.
Survivors include five sons, Jack G., Calvin, Okla., Don E., Lawrence, Robert D., Harrah, Okla., Melvin C., Lawrence, and Richard W., Colorado Springs, Colo.; four daughters, Virginia Goff, Ventura, Calif., Sue Hurrelbrink, of the home, Eva June Ellwanger, Palm Springs, Calif., and Patricia Ann Dame, Big Cabin, Okla.; 27 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until noon Thursday at Rumsey Funeral Home in Lawrence.
The family suggests memorials to the intensive care unit at LMH in care of the hospital or Rumsey Funeral Home.
