Darcy Bieber, who averaged 14.3 points and 6.1 rebounds at Johnson County Community College last season, has signed a letter of intent to play women's basketball at Kansas, coach Marian Washington announced today.
Bieber, a 5-8 guard from Medicine Lodge, sat out part of last season because of an ankle injury. But she started 17 games and shot 79.3 percent from the line and 52.7 percent from the field.
During her freshman season at Johnson County, Bieber was an all-region and all-conference selection, averaging 20.2 points and 7.4 rebounds per game. Her career high was 39 points against Fort Scott.
She was a four-year letter winner at Medicine Lodge, where she scored more than 1,500 points.
