Services for Clarence DeHoff, 71, Lawrence, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary, with the Rev. George Owen officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mr. DeHoff died Thursday at a Kansas City, Mo., hospital. He worked at Sunflower Ammunition plant and for 10 years was vice president of the Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union, Local 763. He retired in 1981.
He was born Nov. 7, 1918, at Reno, Kan. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 191, Tongonoxie, and attended the Congregational Church, Lawrence.
He married Ruby Haas on Sept. 2, 1941, in Tongonoxie. She survives.
Other survivers include two sons, Jim, Lawrence, and John, Overland Park; two daughters, Linda Ingalls, Overland Park, and Becky Boyd, Springfield, Mo.; two brothers, Leonard and Alvis, both of Tongonxie; two sisters, Mary Walker, Tongonoxie, and Wilma Pusch, Mission, Tex.; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
The family suggests memorials to St. Lukes Hospital, Kansas City, Mo., or the Mid-American Heart Institute, which may be sent in care of the funeral home. Friends may visit until to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.
