Services for Marvin Mumford, 48, Lawrence, will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Rev. Delmar White will officiate. Military graveside services will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery and will be conducted by Dorsey-Liberty Post 14 of the American Legion.
Mr. Mumford died Tuesday at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. He had a cerebral aneurysm.
He was born Sept. 12, 1941, in Lawrence and had lived his entire life in the city.
Mr. Mumford was a U.S. Navy veteran and had been disabled since 1977.
He is survived by three daughters, Melissa Mumford-Jefferson, San Diego, and Michelle Mumford and Monica Mumford-Swinson, Hawthorne, Calif.; three brothers, John, Lawrence, Dale, Portland, Ore., and Donald, Kansas City, Mo.; two sisters, Katherine Jefferson, Panama City, Fla., and Louise Jones, Kansas City, Kan.; and two granddaughters.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
