Cortez Barnes, a 6-8 senior basketball forward from Wichita Heights, enjoyed his official visit to Kansas last weekend, but still has not made a final decision on what college he'll attend.
That's the word from Heights coach Charles "Goose" Doughty, who visited with Barnes briefly after his KU visit.
"He enjoyed his visit, said it was OK," Doughty said Tuesday. "He's always said KU is his choice. His feelings haven't changed. He really likes KU."
Doughty said he didn't know what was the holdup.
"He's been talking about visiting other schools, but hasn't yet," Doughty said. "This upcoming weekend he'll be playing in an AAU tournament in Kansas City, so he won't be making any visits then. I think an announcement will be forthcoming."
Barnes averaged 19.6 points and 9.5 rebounds for the Falcons last season. He had planned to make a trip to Oklahoma, but still has not.
Doughty said Barnes would call a press conference at the high school once he's made up his mind.
