Most reunions gather high school and college graduating classes together again after 10, 25 or 50 years' separation, but Ida Puckett Walker took a school reunion she organized recently one step further.

Mrs. Walker put together a 60th reunion for second-graders at Woodlawn School in 1929 and '30.

Twenty-seven people including 10 class members and their now 88-year-old teacher, Helen Snider of Lawrence, attended the gathering Sunday in South Park Recreation Center, Mrs. Walker said.

She added that Mrs. Snider was Miss Helen Supple in 1929 and '30 when she taught the Woodlawn second-graders many of whom are primed, thanks to Sunday's gathering, for celebrating their 50th high school reunions this spring and summer.
