Two Lawrence residents were formally charged Friday afternoon with cocaine-related offenses after being arrested earlier that day in a drug sweep by local officials.
Preliminary hearings were scheduled for Thursday for the residents, Marva Kimball, 40, 2508 Ousdahl, and Gloster Turner, 34, address listed as Lawrence. They were arrested on warrants stemming from a two-month investigation by the Lawrence-Douglas County Drug Enforcement Unit.
According to jail records, Kimball was charged with four counts of possessing cocaine with the intent to sell and Turner was charged with two counts of possessing cocaine with intent to sell and one count of delivering of cocaine.
Authorities said three more people are being sought in the sweep, which is the culmination of an investigation that included a series of undercover buys.
