Services for Elmer J. Petesch, 76, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Corpus Christi Catholic Church with the Rev. Frank Horvat officiating. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Topeka.
Mr. Petesch died Sunday at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
He was born March 13, 1913, at Potter. He was a farmer and stockman and farmed near Perry from 1954 until he retired in 1978.
Mr. Petesch was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus in Lawrence and the Moose Lodge in Topeka.
He married Mathilda Sieve on April 30, 1940, at Valley Falls. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include five brothers, Earl, Andrew and Francis, all of Meriden, and Leo and Raymond, both of Topeka; three sisters, Irene Newell, Meriden, Evelyn Schramek, St. Marys, and Irma Moriarty, Topeka.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary, where the family will meet friends from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
A parish rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
The family suggests memorials to the Center for Basic Cancer Research at Kansas State Unversity in care of the mortuary.
