— Services for Lloyd Virgil Langston, 75, Topeka, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Parker-Price Mortuary in Topeka, the Rev. Jon Boyd officiating. Burial will be in Valley Falls Cemetery.

Mr. Langston died Sunday at Stormont-Vail Regional Medical Center in Topeka.

He was born Jan. 9, 1914, at Kansas City, Mo. He lived in Rock Creek and Oskaloosa before moving to Topeka this month. He had worked as a carpenter and then as a security guard for the state, retiring in 1980.

After his retirement, he worked summers at Clinton State Park.

Mr. Langston was a member of the Assembly of God Church and was a former member of the Carpenters Local.

On July 18, 1936, he married Ruth I. Wadsworth at Muscotah. She survives, of the home in Topeka.

Other survivors include three sons, Lloyd Dean "Bud," Topeka, Larry E., Oskaloosa, and Michael L., Topeka; a daughter, Shirley R. Birks, Topeka; two brothers, Kenneth R., Athens, Tex., and Harold L. Sr., Lawrence; three sisters, Ruby Hale, Wichita, Florence Fulbright, Topeka, and Marguerite Zink, Leavenworth; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The family will meet with friends from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. today at Parker-Price Mortuary. They suggest that memorials be made to the American Heart Assn.
