National Novel Writing Month Contest
Welcome to the Journal-World's first National Novel Writing Month Contest! We're hoping this contest will allow participants in NaNoWriMo to display their work and will help bring the local community of writers together in one space. Contest details are below. Good luck on those 50,000 words...
Journal-World National Novel Writing Month Contest
- Authors can post their novels, either in chapters as they go, or when it’s finished, on the Journal-World Web site.
- Those who complete the goal of 50,000 words, whether or not they post their novel on the Web site, will be eligible for a raffle for a $100 Downtown Lawrence gift certificate or the grand prize of five bound copies of their novel.
- To enter the contest, e-mail reporter Shaun Hittle at sdhittle@ljworld.com by Nov. 5. To be eligible for the raffle, entrants must submit their 50,000-word novel to the Journal-World by Dec. 5.
