Jerry and Terry Tuckwin celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary on July 15, 2017. The couple was married at the Catholic Chapel at Forbes Air Force Base in Topeka on July 1, 1967. Jerry and Terry enjoyed a Mass and luncheon with family and friends. The couple met at Wichita State University, married and went to the Air Force. While stationed in Tucson, Jerry and Terry both completed Masters degrees at the University of Arizona. They returned to Lawrence in 1970. Jerry’s career was at Haskell Indian Nations University as coach, athletic directors and administrator for 32 years. Terry taught in the public schools for 30 years. The couple has two children John and Shannon (deceased). The luncheon was hosted by John, his wife Cheryl and their children Ava and Jackson and also by Shannon’s children, Alex, Anna and Sam. A family trip to Colorado will continue the celebration.
