Do you like to draw, paint, or create other kinds of 2-D art? Would you like to see your artwork worn by over 500 Lawrence teens? Enter our Summer Reading T-shirt Design contest!
Each year we hold a design contest for our Teen Summer Reading T-shirts. The winning design is used to create over 500 shirts that we use for prizes. If you win, your artwork will be all over town! Also, you would win t-shirts for you and your family and get a $25.00 gift card to Michael’s Arts and Crafts. If you’re interested in entering, please read the contest rules below, fill out the 2013 T-shirt entry form, and submit your entry to the Teen Zone no later than April 17, 2013.
Open to teens in grades 6-12. Designs should be inspired by the Summer Reading theme: “Out and About”. Designs must include the words: Lawrence Public Library Teen Zone. The image must be created with 1 color. Designs must be submitted on an 8 ½” x 11” piece of white paper. Designs can be created on computer, hand drawn, or painted. Designs will be altered if necessary to comply with printing needs. Designs must be submitted to the Lawrence Public Library Teen Zone by April 17, 2013. Contest judges will be members of the Teen Advisory Board and library staff. All designs become property of the Lawrence Public Library and cannot be returned. The winning design may be used in future promotions, displays, signs, advertising, etc., as we see fit. The winner will receive a t-shirt, t-shirts for his/her immediate family, plus a $25 dollar gift card to Michael’s Arts and Crafts.
