Please join us for "Mental Health in Our Community: Are We Doing Enough?" March 20, Watkins Community Museum, 1047 Massachusetts St, ground floor (enter by side entrance). From 11:30 to noon we'll eat, socialize, and discuss our local health positions. At noon Dr. Joe Douglas, Psychiatrist at the Bert Nash Mental Health Clinic, will speak, share a PowerPoint presentation (and sing a bit). Dr. Douglas discusses mental health with compassion and the deep knowledge he has gained during nearly a half-century of experience. He is particularly concerned with helping people who cannot afford the care they need. His presentation should alert us to many Lawrence/Douglas County services affected by his subject. All are welcome. Please bring guests and feel free to invite others. If someone needs transportation, please contact Margaret Arnold, 785 842-9989 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
