Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a charity/ Party in Pink Zumbathon/ from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at the Community Building, 115 W. 11th St.
Zumba is a dance fitness program that features interval and resistance training for a full-body, rhythmic workout.
Participants will be instructed by certified Zumba instructors for this charity event in partnership with the Susan G. Komen foundation.
A percentage of the proceeds go toward the Zumba Global Research Grant for Breast Cancer Prevention. Cost is $10 per person and pre-registration is required.
