Peace for the Holidays: A Sand Mandala and Sale

Tibetan Monks will construct an intricate Mandala (sand painting) representing Peace and Interfaith connectedness over three days & on the third, they will perform a closing ceremony, complete with chanting, and accompanied by cymbals, drums, horns, and flutes. To symbolize the impermanence of all that exists, the colored sands are swept up & they will lead a procession to the Kaw River, where the sand will be deposited, carrying the sand's healing energies throughout the world. Beautiful Tibetan Refugee made items will be available for sale throughout the mandala creation. A great opportunity to shop for your holiday gifts! Proceeds from the sale benefit the Drepung Gomang Monastery in Southern India. Saturday November 16th Noon to 8:00pm Sunday November 17th 1:00pm to 5:00pm Monday November 18th 10:00am to 4:00pm, closing ceremony begins at 3:30pm
