Event details

Plymouth Congregational Church, a United Church of Christ, invites community members to honor the wholeness of each person, including people with disabilities in their inaugural disability-themed worship service on Sunday, November 3, 2013.

Reverend Peter Luckey , senior pastor at Plymouth, consulted several people in the local disability community and other disability professionals. The result of these discussions is a worship service about faith and disability and what the Plymouth community can do to foster awareness and action on disability social justice issues. Reverend Peter Luckey says, “Plymouth is a community that seeks to extravagantly welcome all people, including people with disabilities. We not only profess the value of inclusivity, we want more people with disabilities working with us to create a place that embraces our unique wholeness.”

There will an American Sign Language interpreter at the 9:30 traditional service. If community members need an additional disability accommodation, please contact Jeremy Winfrey at 785-843-3220 by November 1.
