Social Media Club - Quantrill’s Raid on Twitter

Event details

In the early morning hours of Aug. 21, 1863, William Quantrill and 400 men rode into Lawrence, murdering, burning and ransacking as they went. One hundred fifty years later, residents from both sides of the Missouri/Kansas border will create a virtual re-enactment of Quantrill’s Raid as part of the sesquicentennial commemoration events. On May 8, Christine Metz Howard, with the Lawrence Convention and Visitors Bureau, will share information on the project and ways the community can participate.
