Join us for the unveiling of the new Pinckney Tunnel mural created by Van Go Apprentice Artists. Working after school for eight weeks this spring, 22 youth designed, drafted, and painted the 90-foot mural on metal panels to adorn the tunnel connecting Pinckney Elementary to the south side of 6th street.

This project was sponsored by Pinckney PTO, City of Lawrence, Lawrence Schools Foundation, OWL Association, Pinckney Neighborhood Association, and numerous individual contributors. Van Go is an arts-based social service agency that provides year-round after-school and summer job-training programs to high-needs and underserved youth ages 14-21. Using art as the vehicle, Van Go delivers constructive activities to youth at risk for drug and alcohol use, teen pregnancy, truancy or delinquency.
