The University of Kansas choral ensembles will present an evening of choral music on Tuesday, March 26th at 7:30 pm, at the Lied Center. The concert will showcase a variety of music, including arrangements of popular Brazilian folksongs, spirituals and a movement from a Korean Mass. The following KU choirs will perform: KU Concert Choir, KU Oread Consort, KU University Singers, KU Women's Chorale and KU Chamber Singers. The performance also features two local high school choirs, the Lawrence High A Cappella Choir and the Ottawa High School Chamber Singers. "We're excited to share the stage with two local high school choirs and bringing their talents to the KU and Lawrence communities," Mariana Farah, associate director of choral activities at KU, said. Tickets are $7/general admission and $5/students and seniors. Tickets can be purchased through the Lied Center Box Office at 785-864-2787 or at www.lied.ku.edu.
