This is the annual winter concert of the Spencer Consort, an ensemble that plays Baroque music on reproductions of instruments in use in the period. It is a resident ensemble at the KU Museum of Art.
The core members of the group include Baroque flutists John Boulton and Joy Laird, harpsichordist Elizabeth Egbert Berghout, and Baroque cellist Paul Laird. For this concert they are being joined by Baroque flutist Dorothy Glick, allowing the ensemble to explore an exciting slice of larger repertory. The program will include chamber music by French, Italian, English, and German composers. The concert is free and open to the public and will take place in the Central Court of the museum.
