Event details

The KU Center for Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies (CREES) invites you to attend the CREES Spring Festival to be held this Friday, March 8th from 4-8 pm at the Ecumenical Christian Ministries (ECM) on the KU Campus.

This is the 13th annual celebration of Russian, East European and Eurasian spring festivals at the University of Kansas. "Maslenitsa," as many affectionally call it, celebrates the rich ethnic heritage found throughout the REES region, as well as honors the CREES overall mission to expose the Lawrence and Kansas City community to the many different cultural traditions found in our area of the world. This year the CREES Spring Festival also happens to coincide with International Women's Day, another holiday widely celebrated throughout Russia, Eastern Europe and Eurasia. Come celebrate with us!

This event is a potluck where students, faculty, family and friends bring their favorite Slavic, Turkish or Persian dishes to share. The event will also feature live music from the popular band "Apollo Soyuz." Everyone is welcome to this free and fun event!
