As a winner of the 2010 YCA International Auditions, Narek Arutyunian performed in recital debuts at New York's Merkin Hall and at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. Prior to joining the ranks of YCA, Arutyunian received numerous awards, such as First Prize at the International Young Musicians Competition in Prague. He also performed with orchestras including the Boston Pops and the Russian State Symphony Orchestra. Arutyunian was born in 1992 in Armenia, moved to Moscow when he was three and currently lives in New York, where he studies with Charles Neidich at The Juilliard School. Arutyunian will perform at the Lied Center with a piano accompanist.
