Lawrence Pride Parade

Details

Event details

44 years ago on June 28th, 1969, queer and trans* people started a series of police riots and demonstrations that are known as the start of the queer liberation movement. Come celebrate our pride and honor our history with Lawrence Queer Youth Voice! Bring your glitter and rainbows and your punny signs! We'll start at South Park at the gazebo, head down Mass Street to 7th street, then circle around and end up at the Lawrence Queer Youth Voice Space at 9th & New Hampshire where everyone is welcome to a potluck! Afterwards, many folks will be heading to the Lovers/Bloodbirds/Grenadina concert at Seed Co (More info here: https://www.facebook.com/events/451733568247182/?ref=3) Access info: - Please contact rachel@lawrencequeeryouthvoice.org if you need access to a wheelchair while during the parade. - This event will be fragrance free.
