City to hold meeting regarding expansion of the rental licensing and inspection program. The City of Lawrence implemented a rental licensing and inspection program for single family zoned districts in February 2002. Since that time, there have been many discussions regarding expansion of the program. On November 27, the City Commission directed staff to bring back a proposal to expand the program and identify how an expansion would be implemented. The city will hold a public forum to be held on January 7, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at Lawrence City Hall, 6 E. 6th Street in the City Commission meeting room. If you are unable to attend the meeting but would like to discuss the expansion you may contact Brian Jimenez directly at (785) 832-3111 or email at bjimenez@lawrenceks.org.
